Cabbage Roll in a Bowl Recipe
I'm sharing another easy, healthy and inexpensive large family meal my whole family enjoys.
This is a great way to enjoy cabbage rolls without having to do the rolling.
Ingredients:
2 pounds ground beef
1 tablespoon oil
1 large onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 small cabbage, chopped
2 cans (15 ounces each) diced tomatoes1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
1 cup rice
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
1. Heat the oil in a large skillet on medium heat.
2. Saute the onions until tender, and then add the ground beef, cook until beef is browned.
3. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
4. Add the remaining ingredients and stir everything together.
5. Bring pot to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer about 35-40 minutes until cabbage is tender.
Done!
